This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Offer strategic leadership and guidance to align projects and solutions with the technology vision.

• Evaluate business initiatives and their implications for existing technology, modernization efforts, and change management.

• Formulate technology strategies, reference architectures, solutions, best practices, and provide guidance across the IT development team.

• Prioritize total cost of ownership, stability, scalability, and performance.

• Assist in defining and executing the business-aligned data strategy and vision.

• Create, document, and contribute to technology roadmaps for Empower and Great West Financial.

• Develop reference architectures that illustrate key components and their interrelationships.

• Maintain proficiency in SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS deployment and workload architectures.

• Link data strategy to REST, resource-oriented design, OData, and API Gateway technologies.

• Design and modernize intricate data architectures into cloud-compatible or cloud-native solutions.

• Formulate strategies and designs for migrating data to cloud platforms.

• Assess emerging technologies and integration options, construct business cases, and influence technology direction.

• Implement best practices, standards, and guidance while mentoring technology team members.

• Provide leadership recommendations on strategic architectural considerations for data design and processes.

• Lead the direction in development and engineering practices.

• Collaborate with business and technology teams on architectural and design challenges.

• Adapt to shifting security conditions and implement or propose security protocols.

• Deliver thought leadership, advocacy, articulation, assurance, and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture discipline.

• Oversee end-to-end solution design and implementation in collaboration with development teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, etc.) or a non-technical degree (e.g., Business).

• Over 5 years of experience in developing and delivering database systems.

• More than 3 years of experience in crafting solution architectures and strategies across various architecture domains.

• Strong experience in at least three of the following: SOA and Microservices design, Cloud Architectures, Big Data/Advanced Analytics, Data Warehouse systems, Advanced Programming, Modern Integration Methods, NoSQL, Client-side Development.

• In-depth knowledge of architectural cross-cutting concerns and trade-offs, including caching, monitoring, operational surroundings, high availability, and security.

• Proficiency in applying architecture frameworks and development methodologies.

• Strong understanding of data modeling, security patterns, and integration techniques.

• Familiarity with DevOps processes and tools.

• Understanding of business process analysis and business process management (BPM).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Commitment to continuous learning of new technologies.

• Experience in the financial industry is preferred.
