📋 Description

• Localize, translate, and adapt multimedia, legal, technical, and marketing content while following established style guides and guidelines.

• Create original copy for music, TV, App Store, video-on-demand, and game subscription products.

• Conduct regular linguistic reviews of your own work and that of the localization team.

• Edit and fact-check content to ensure accuracy.

• Execute Localization QA testing on content published on live platforms.

• Carry out market-specific research on local content treatment, product trends, terminology, and best practices for localization.

• Transcribe spoken content, including lyrics.

• Report on data and assets across various media and content types.

• Review linguistic assessments and develop training materials and documentation for new projects.

• Educate localization counterparts on terminology, style, and best practices.

• Collaborate with the global language team through virtual meetings and email regarding content review, terminology, style, trends, market insights, and translations.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/BA degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in journalism, copywriting, or copyediting media content such as music, TV, and applications, along with writing samples for verification.

• Experience in the translation and localization of multimedia content.

• Ability to quickly identify issues and inconsistencies from a large volume of content and make informed judgment calls based on available information.

• Broad knowledge of music artists, TV, cinema, gaming, and pop culture.

• Capability to take ownership of a language market and make confident linguistic decisions.

• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

• Proficient in written and verbal English.

• Strong computer skills; familiarity with iOS/macOS systems is advantageous.

• Capable of typing in their native language using a standard (English) keyboard.

• Ability to work independently and remotely.

• Collaborative mindset; enjoys working in a multicultural team environment.
