This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Report directly to the Sr. Manager of Accounts Receivable.
• Oversee a designated portfolio of high-volume and strategic accounts from Property Management Companies.
• Collaborate across departments to assist clients in maintaining their account status and mitigating delinquent accounts.
• Prepare and evaluate customer statements and aging reports.
• Reach out to customers for payment collections and present payment options or reductions for overdue amounts.
• Address internal and external customer inquiries regarding discrepancies, short payments, and payment-related questions.
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and disputes.
• Reconcile billing, cash application, and issues at the corporate, property, and product levels.
• Organize and facilitate customer meetings concerning delinquent accounts.
• Review customer accounts to determine resolutions for overdue invoices, credits, and cash amounts on account.
• Engage with interdepartmental teams about outstanding balances.
• Create manual Consolidated Billing Files for specific customer requests.
• Identify billing discrepancies, investigate root causes, and coordinate with the relevant teams or make necessary corrections.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Accounts Receivable processes.
• Provide training or support to newer Accounts Receivable Specialists as necessary.
• 4-6 years of experience related to Accounts Receivable.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience with RealPage is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting principles.
• Advanced to expert proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
• Knowledge of multiple software systems to handle various data sources.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
• Capability to work independently.
• Presentation skills suitable for clients or sales/product teams.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.
• Proficient in operating a personal computer.
• May be required to lift or move items weighing 10+ pounds.
