AR Specialist – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure precise data entry, proper general ledger coding, and allocation of student invoices for designated revenue channels.

• Submit invoices through external partner portals.

• Address complex billing issues and discrepancies.

• Oversee and process incoming payments on a daily basis.

• Investigate and manage unidentified payments.

• Handle student cases including cancellations, withdrawals, and program alterations.

• Reconcile revenue on a weekly basis and during month-end close.

• Recognize and implement account adjustments.

• Execute payment reconciliation tasks.

• Spearhead collections efforts for overdue accounts.

• Deliver customer service for both internal and external inquiries.

• Support the AR Manager in minimizing outstanding accounts receivable and reconciling the student deposit account.

• Collaborate with other AR team members through cross-training.

• Document processes and procedures meticulously.

• Execute special projects and assigned tasks as needed.

• No formal supervisory duties are required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in accounts receivable.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong abilities in research, analysis, and problem-solving.

• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.

• Familiarity with GAAP and basic accounting principles.

• Practical experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is advantageous.

• Capability to work both collaboratively in a team setting and independently.

• Skill in managing multiple priorities calmly and effectively while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and follow-through.
