AR Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Prepare and issue precise sales invoices promptly.

• Confirm customer billing needs prior to generating invoices, including recognizing customers who require Purchase Orders.

• Ensure invoices meet customer-specific billing criteria and adhere to internal company regulations.

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary documentation for invoicing and billing submissions.

• Verify Purchase Orders against sanctioned billing standards.

• Identify and report any missing, expired, or mismatched POs before issuing invoices.

• Keep accurate records of PO statuses and follow up with internal stakeholders.

• Examine billing discrepancies, mistakes, and customer inquiries.

• Implement corrective measures to address issues and prevent future occurrences.

• Communicate resolution updates to internal teams and, when necessary, to customers.

• Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation for all invoicing and billing activities.

• Assist with month-end accounts receivable closing tasks as required.

• Applicants must be legally permitted to work remotely in India.

• Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to accuracy in billing and invoicing tasks.

• Comprehensive understanding of billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable processes.

• Knowledge of Purchase Order (PO) validation and customer billing specifications.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate with internal teams while following up on outstanding items.

• Capability to work autonomously and take ownership of assigned duties in a dynamic environment.

• Previous experience in an AR, billing, or accounting support position is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with billing or ERP systems is advantageous.

• Experience in a professional services or healthcare-related environment is a plus.
