Apprentice Facilitator – Clinically Oriented Epic Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Mentor apprentices as they pursue Epic certification, ensuring proficiency in operational end-user training, customer service, JIRA responsiveness training, and application-specific learning.

• Convert formal curriculum into practical build and configuration skills.

• Assist apprentices with comprehensive revenue cycle applications, such as EpicCare Ambulatory, Bugsy, Stork, Long-Term Care, Anesthesia, ASAP, and OpTime.

• Offer technical leadership for apprentice-oriented service catalog tasks, including ticket review, troubleshooting support, escalation guidance, documentation coaching, and readiness assessments.

• Collaborate with formal trainers, operational leaders, Help Desk supervisors, MCT supervisors, mentors, and application subject matter experts.

• Aid apprentices in cultivating build habits that encompass documented standards, peer review, testing discipline, thorough documentation, and awareness of downstream impacts.

• Act as a people leader and coach by establishing expectations, tracking progress, eliminating obstacles, providing constructive feedback, and fostering engagement and retention.

• Participate in phase-gate readiness discussions by assessing technical growth, quality, productivity, professional conduct, and preparedness for greater responsibilities.

• Recognize learning gaps and collaborate with Learning teams to enhance job aids, simulations, coaching materials, standard work, and practical application opportunities.

• Travel nationally, including to member organizations for Go-Live installations or training, as needed by business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Epic certification and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on build experience in relevant clinically oriented applications.

• Epic certifications and practical build experience in Clinical Epic Applications, including EpicCare Inpatient, EpicCare Ambulatory, Bugsy, Stork, Long-Term Care, Anesthesia, OpTime, and ASAP.

• Experience in coaching, teaching, training, or mentoring technical teams, analysts, apprentices, or early-career professionals.

• In-depth knowledge of Epic build and configuration principles, revenue cycle support workflows, testing methodologies, documentation standards, and support escalation processes.

• Capability to link technical configuration choices to patient access, billing, reimbursement, eligibility, referrals, estimates, member operations, and business outcomes.

• Experience in providing constructive criticism, evaluating learner readiness, and facilitating development plans for technical staff.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities.

• Capacity to work independently and effectively from a home office setup.

• High-speed internet service is required.

• Ability to maintain a distraction-free work environment.

• Proficiency in reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English.

• COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption is mandatory prior to hiring.

• Preferred: operational experience in patient access, scheduling, registration, referrals, estimates, eligibility, billing, claims, reimbursement, or revenue cycle environments.

• Preferred: experience in supporting apprentices, interns, analysts, super users, trainers, or operational teams through structured development initiatives.

• Preferred: experience in contributing to learning materials, job aids, build checklists, peer review tools, or readiness rubrics.

• Preferred: experience in supporting cross-application revenue cycle workflows.
