Appraisal Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Support on-site property assessments.

• Conduct final evaluations of appraisal documents and client deliverables to ensure USPAP compliance.

• Confirm the descriptions of the subject property's site, physical improvements, and surrounding areas as observed during inspections.

• Create necessary exhibits and memos that illustrate inspection findings.

• Frequently travel to on-site properties based on assigned work requests, with travel exceeding 50% each month.

• Oversee travel arrangements and manage related expense reports.

• Engage in internal and external client meetings as required.

• Cultivate relationships with market and business line leaders to share best practices, promote innovation, and ensure quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have permanent residency in central or southern Illinois.

• Hold an active Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license issued in at least one state.

• A valid Certified General Appraiser License is mandatory; applicants lacking a CG license will not be considered.

• Willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states.

• A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• A strategic understanding of commercial real estate appraisal is essential.

• Must possess a valid driver's license.

• Ability to travel easily between states.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent time/calendar management skills are highly desired.

• Previous experience and proficiency with Microsoft products, particularly Outlook and Teams.

• Must be capable of driving to asset tours; airline travel may also be required.

• Clear communication skills in person, over the phone, and via email are necessary.

• Adequate visual acuity to perform job duties, including reading printed materials and computer displays.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
