Applied Engineering Benchmark Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create original and thought-provoking multiple-choice engineering questions that assess deep conceptual understanding.

• Ensure that each question is clear, self-contained, and precisely articulated.

• Assess the difficulty level of questions as Medium, Hard, or Expert.

• Provide one correct answer along with nine plausible, yet subtly incorrect, alternatives.

• Develop step-by-step solutions in markdown format.

• Include 1–5 academic references per question from reputable sources.

• Review previously written questions for accuracy, clarity, completeness, precision, and solvability.

• Edit questions as necessary and document all changes made.

• Contribute to the establishment of gold-standard benchmarks for AI research and model enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A PhD or doctoral candidate in Engineering or a closely related discipline.

• A Master's degree may be considered for candidates with exceptional expertise in a specific subdomain.

• Strong grasp of graduate-level engineering principles, applied mathematics, and domain-specific standards.

• Excellent command of written English with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and succinctly.

• Professional engineering licensure (PE) or relevant industry experience is highly advantageous.

• Expected commitment of 10+ hours per week.

• Independent contractor status is required.
