Applied Data Scientist, AI Data Platforms

📋 Description

• Develop, configure, and manage an AI-enabled platform that assists organizations in comprehending, governing, and handling intricate enterprise data.

• Convert mission objectives and client data inquiries into distinct goals, success metrics, and evaluation standards.

• Profile, cleanse, and analyze complex multi-source enterprise data.

• Detect data gaps, discrepancies, quality challenges, and interrelations that impact downstream usage.

• Create and sustain metadata, data dictionaries, and reference vocabularies tailored to client environments.

• Configure and optimize AI-assisted functionalities that match, classify, rank, and validate data across various systems.

• Assess AI agents and language-model workflows for accuracy, grounding, consistency, and potential failures.

• Construct test sets and monitor quality over time.

• Examine human review feedback to identify systematic errors and enhance platform performance.

• Assist in data validation and reconciliation for reliable integrated or migrated data.

• Collaborate with data, software, and cloud engineers to implement validated enhancements in production with version control and measurable outcomes.

• Produce visualizations, narratives, and briefings for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Manage sensitive data following access controls, governance, and audit requirements.

• Maintain reproducible code, experiments, and documentation.

• Provide data science expertise to solution planning and proposal initiatives as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience applying statistics, machine learning, data analysis, or related quantitative techniques to real-world challenges.

• Proficient in Python and SQL with familiarity in common data science libraries (such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, or similar).

• Experience with knowledge graphs, graph data modeling, or semantic technologies like ontologies and taxonomies.

• Practical experience with language models or AI-assisted workflows, including quality evaluation of outputs.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen as per contract stipulations.

• Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust Clearance in line with contract requirements.

• Preferred: familiarity with graph databases and query languages like Neo4j and Cypher.

• Preferred: experience with vector search, embeddings, RAG, and AI agent frameworks such as LangGraph.

• Preferred: knowledge in entity resolution, record linkage, and systems for matching, classifying, linking, or ranking records.

• Preferred: experience in enterprise data migration, ETL, or modernization, especially for ERP or HR systems.

• Preferred: expertise in time-series analysis, anomaly detection, model monitoring, and drift analysis.

• Preferred: experience with cloud data and ML services on AWS or another major cloud platform.

• Preferred: familiarity with human-in-the-loop AI workflows, experiment tracking, and model evaluation.

• Preferred: experience working in segmented networks, controlled-change environments, or formal authorization settings.

• Preferred: active Public Trust Clearance.

• A relevant certification in data science, machine learning, cloud, or analytics is preferred.
