Applied AI Engineer Intern – Summer 2027

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Create technical solutions that enable engineers to assess and implement data and AI technologies.

• Provide consultation on architecture, execute proof of concepts, and deliver solutions for key business initiatives, including data science and machine learning systems.

• Design and present product architectures, write technical code, and demonstrate applications to stakeholders.

• Acquire practical experience with the Innovator Method, Game Theory, and DecisionIQ, transforming customer insights into solutions that yield substantial business value.

• Develop proficiency in cloud platforms, databases, data engineering, web design, AI technologies, and numerical methods.

• Assist team members and foster cross-functional relationships throughout the organization.

• Deliver solutions to production that align with business requirements and create significant impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field at an accredited university or recognized software accelerator program.

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale, without rounding.

• Prior work experience is not necessary.

• Strong academic record in Computer Science or other STEM fields.

• Experience in designing AI solutions and architecting distributed data systems.

• Proficient in programming and debugging with Python, C#, C++, and SQL.

• Customer-focused mindset with the capability to lead design thinking workshops.

• Practical experience in at least one of the following areas: Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Computer Vision.

• Experience in developing solutions using public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

• AWS and/or Azure certification.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
