Applied AI Engineer Co-op, Spring 2027

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Create technical solutions for engineers to assess and implement data and AI options

• Advise on architecture, execute proofs of concept, and provide solutions for key business initiatives, including data science and machine learning systems

• Develop and showcase product architectures

• Write technical code and demonstrate applications to stakeholders

• Utilize the Innovator Method, Game Theory, and DecisionIQ to transform customer insights into solutions that deliver business value

• Gain expertise in cloud platforms, databases, data engineering, web design, AI technologies, and numerical methods

• Assist team members and foster cross-functional relationships throughout the organization

• Deliver production solutions that fulfill business requirements and create impact

• Lead real-world projects from inception to completion as an intern/co-op

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline at an accredited university or recognized software accelerator program

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale, without rounding

• Previous work experience is not required

• Strong academic record in Computer Science or other STEM fields

• Experience in designing AI solutions and architecting distributed data systems

• Proficient in programming and debugging with Python, C#, C++, and SQL

• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to facilitate design thinking workshops

• Practical experience in Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Computer Vision

• Experience in building solutions using public cloud platforms like AWS or Azure

• AWS and/or Azure certification is a plus

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
