This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Design and develop fundamental components for agentic systems, including memory, context management, tool invocation, orchestration, and feedback loops.
• Create reusable agentic infrastructure to enable the rapid and reliable introduction of new workflows.
• Establish evaluation and observability frameworks for testing, tracing, debugging, and assessing AI agents prior to their production deployment.
• Develop workflows for coding agents and specialized subagents that investigate repositories, implement modifications, review architectures, execute evaluations, and iterate with minimal human oversight.
• Design systems that incorporate specialized agents, tools, deterministic software, and human involvement.
• Determine the appropriate use of LLMs, conventional software, human intervention, or coordinated agents.
• Collaborate with operational and product teams to comprehend acquired-agency workflows and pinpoint automation possibilities.
• Transform intricate operational processes into dependable production systems.
• Define architectural patterns, tooling, and engineering standards for agentic systems.
• Achieve first-year objectives in reliability, workflow integration speed, operational efficiency, and engineering leverage.
• Solid software engineering background with a track record of independently delivering complex systems from conception to production.
• Practical experience in constructing AI or agentic systems that have functioned in live production environments.
• Familiarity with reliability, latency, context management, failure modes, evaluation, and observability in real-world AI systems.
• In-depth understanding of agents, tool usage, structured outputs, context management, orchestration, evaluation, and feedback loops.
• Advanced hands-on experience with modern LLMs and the capability to develop reliable workflows surrounding probabilistic systems.
• Experience utilizing coding agents and agentic development workflows within engineering processes.
• Proven ability to break down complex engineering tasks across agents or specialized subagents and design output verification and enhancement mechanisms.
• Strong architectural judgment regarding LLMs, deterministic software, human intervention, and hybrid approaches.
• Proficient in TypeScript / Node.js, or substantial experience building AI systems in Python, with a willingness to adapt to a TypeScript-first environment.
• High level of autonomy, ownership, and comfort in making decisions amidst ambiguity.
• Strong product acumen linking technical decisions to operational and business outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
