This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France, +2 more countries.
• Collaborate with Sales teams and clients during technical discussions, product assessments, presentations, and trials.
• Suggest suitable colourants, applications, equipment, and control solutions tailored to customer requirements.
• Assist customers in refining colour formulation, shade matching, wet-end applications, and product performance.
• Conduct visits to customer and mill locations to facilitate product trials, technical evaluations, and troubleshooting.
• Evaluate application and performance challenges, offering practical recommendations to enhance outcomes.
• Establish trusted relationships with assigned clients, serving as a technical liaison for coloration-related inquiries.
• Coordinate application testing and customer-specific evaluations with the Colourants laboratory located in Mönchengladbach, Germany.
• Analyze technical results and convert them into clear, actionable recommendations for customers.
• Develop and lead technical projects and application concepts that support customer value and business expansion.
• Work collaboratively with international Applications Specialists, Sales, Product Management, and laboratory teams.
• Share technical insights and best practices while managing customer activities and priorities independently.
• A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Paper Technology, Papermaking, or a related scientific/technical discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Relevant experience in papermaking, pulp & paper, specialty chemicals, colourants/dyes, or a related technical applications setting.
• Strong understanding of papermaking processes and/or paper chemistry.
• Experience in paper coloration, dyes, shading, or deep dyeing is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with colour measurement, shade matching, and colour-space systems such as CIELAB (L*a*b*) and LCh is a plus.
• Proficient in utilizing digital business and CRM tools; experience with Salesforce is beneficial.
• A customer-centric and commercially astute mindset, with robust problem-solving and communication skills.
• Capability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate within an international team.
• Fluency in French and professional proficiency in English; knowledge of German or another European language is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel frequently across France and occasionally elsewhere in Europe, possessing a valid driving licence.
