This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Conduct research, gather, compile, and analyze data for operational projects and initiatives.
• Recognize opportunities, formulate solutions, and guide issues to resolution.
• Collaborate on activities aimed at enhancing performance relating to program efficiency and patient experience.
• Distribute analytical reports and develop educational materials.
• Design, configure, integrate, and provide support for application solutions across various systems, platforms, modules, and workflows.
• Convert business requirements into functional and technical solutions that align with product backlogs and organizational priorities.
• Execute system configuration, builds, interfaces, and data exchange tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and integration challenges in collaboration with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Create and lead testing initiatives, comprising scenarios, test scripts, strategy, planning, execution, and validation.
• Engage in or lead implementations, upgrades, application onboarding, process transformations, and post-deployment support.
• Analyze workflows, system performance, usage, and operational metrics to propose improvements.
• Collaborate with product teams, technical engineers, clinicians, business leaders, and various stakeholders.
• Contribute to functional specifications, knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures, documentation, standards, and best practices.
• Senior: Take ownership of end-to-end backlog delivery and offer technical guidance, mentoring, and support to fellow engineers.
• Work across various applications and domains, including clinical, imaging, and revenue.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Applications Engineer: 5–7 years of experience in application support, application analysis, or related IT roles.
• Senior Applications Engineer: 7+ years of experience in application engineering, application support, or related IT roles.
• Proficient in application configuration, system workflows, business processes, system integrations, interfaces, and data flow.
• Experienced in troubleshooting application and integration issues.
• Background in supporting or leading testing activities, implementations, upgrades, or enhancement efforts.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of working across various applications, systems, or functional areas.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within a dynamic environment.
• Senior: Knowledge of IT service management processes, including incident, change, and problem management.
• Senior: Proven informal leadership skills, such as mentoring, guiding peers, and contributing to standards and best practices.
• Additional desirable qualifications include PowerShell, Python, Bash, APIs, middleware, Power Automate, UiPath, JavaScript, SQL, cloud-based application environments, Agile or product-oriented delivery models, healthcare systems, DevOps, version control, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and performance analysis.
