Applications Engineer, Quotations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee bid management, proposal engineering, and the development of quotations for ANEMA Motors, VFDs, and drive system solutions.

• Target solutions specifically for mining and heavy industrial applications.

• Analyze customer specifications, technical requirements, and relevant ANSI, NEMA, IEEE, IEC, and CSA standards.

• Create technically robust and commercially viable solutions based on application and system needs.

• Assist projects from proposal stage through execution by providing technical guidance and application expertise.

• Offer technical assistance to sales teams and clients throughout Canada.

• Work in collaboration with customers, sales, service teams, and vendors to produce precise and competitive quotations.

• Support factory testing, commissioning, and customer start-up activities as necessary.

• Handle multiple quotations while adhering to quality and delivery expectations.

• Participate in proposal development, forecasting, quality management, contract review, and customer consultation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology diploma, or equivalent qualification.

• Must be eligible for E.I.T., C.E.T., P.Eng., or P.Tech. (Eng.) designation.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mining and other heavy industrial sectors, including metals, oil & gas, pulp & paper, and marine.

• Preferred experience with industrial equipment applications within the mining, oil & gas, and pulp & paper industries.

• In-depth knowledge of motors, VFDs, power systems, switchgear, motor control, and electrical integration.

• Experience in developing or supporting engineered industrial solutions and drive systems.

• Familiarity with project documentation such as manuals, drawing submittals, and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.

• A self-driven, customer-oriented problem solver capable of managing competing priorities.

• Experience with ANEMA Motors and Siemens/Innomotics drive technologies is considered an asset.
