This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Deliver first-tier technical assistance for a variety of SS&C hosted applications.
• Ensure that application uptime and service level targets are consistently met.
• Verify that application job scheduling and server operations function effectively.
• Engage in the repair and restoration of processing and systems availability during incidents or failures.
• Lead or support root cause analysis efforts to prevent future occurrences.
• Monitor the availability and performance of applications.
• Diagnose infrastructure, application, database, and network issues alongside peers and customers.
• Coordinate and communicate with teams regarding tasks and escalations utilizing Agile methodologies.
• Participate in 24x7 escalation and rotation support.
• Assist with new virtual and cloud solutions.
• Adhere to change management protocols.
• Create and maintain pertinent documentation.
• Take part in Disaster Recovery validation scenarios.
• Required availability from Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM Eastern Time.
• Occasional weekend morning coverage may be needed for maintenance activities.
• Strong understanding and practical knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with encryption tools such as PGP and GPG.
• Knowledge of GNU SFTP server configuration and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of scripting technologies and/or a willingness to learn.
• Self-motivated individual with robust problem-solving abilities.

• Professional demeanor with exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Interest in cloud computing and a passion for technology.

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Some relevant professional experience or prior internship.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with VAX VMS Operating Systems is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and/or container technologies is a major plus.
• Experience supporting complex internal and client-facing environments is a notable asset.
• Exposure to troubleshooting Microsoft products and protocols is a plus.
• Experience working with enterprise applications is advantageous.
