API Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and document specifications for APIs, including endpoints, data models, and protocols such as REST and GraphQL.

• Develop and implement APIs utilizing Java and Python technologies.

• Integrate APIs with both internal and external systems, applications, and third-party services.

• Create unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for APIs; troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise.

• Generate and update documentation for API users, featuring usage examples and best practices.

• Apply authentication, authorization, encryption, and other security measures.

• Monitor and enhance API performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Manage different versions of APIs while ensuring backward compatibility.

• Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.

• Offer ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and make improvements based on user feedback.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• A degree may be replaced by 8 years of practical experience.

• Proficient in Amazon Web Services (AWS) at an advanced level.

• Advanced skills in Git.

• Expertise in Java REST Web Services.

• Advanced knowledge of Spring Boot.

• Proficient in SQL at an advanced level.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Capability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

• Preferred: Intermediate skills in Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, Python, and Ruby.
