This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee comprehensive accounts payable operations, which include processing invoices, approvals, payments, accruals, and prepaids.
• Ensure that postings to the general ledger are timely and accurate.
• Manage the AP month-end and year-end closing procedures, reconciliations, and cut-off controls.
• Minimize post-close adjustments and maintain a clean trial balance.
• Prepare, review, and keep audit-ready PBCs.
• Act as the primary AP subject matter expert for external auditors like KPMG.
• Lead initiatives for process improvements and automation to enhance AP workflows, decrease manual efforts, and fortify internal controls.
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and FP&A on accrual accuracy, cash forecasting, and resolving vendor issues.
• Develop standardized AP procedures and expectations.
• Potentially mentor and oversee additional AP resources as the function expands.
• Utilize AI tools to optimize workflows, enhance accuracy, and boost operational scalability.
• A minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years managing AP operations in a high-growth or complex setting; experience in healthcare, fintech, or SaaS is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Strong understanding of AP-related US GAAP principles, including expense recognition, accruals, prepaids, and internal controls.
• Practical experience in implementing scalable processes and spearheading automation initiatives.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners and vendors.
• Familiarity with NetSuite and Ramp, including optimizing workflows and reporting capabilities.
• A keen interest in leveraging AI tools for process automation and efficiency improvements.
