This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Implement account and territory strategies for designated broker dealers distributing TruStage Annuities.
• Acquire, optimize, and retain business effectively.
• Offer strategic assistance to wholesalers to improve face-to-face product distribution.
• Create strategic business-development plans in collaboration with investment advisors.
• Cultivate relationships with key managers at external broker dealers.
• Support retail sales initiatives and enhance sales and market share within a specified geographic area.
• Oversee daily operations of assigned wholesalers, including appointment scheduling and sales plan development.
• Provide market feedback and aid in crafting market strategies.
• Allocate financial resources from the territory business-development budget prudently.
• Build and strengthen advisor relationships through both virtual and in-person channels.
• Educate advisors and support product sales initiatives and strategies.
• Counsel on the appropriate application of annuity products, literature, and sales tools.
• Address product inquiries, follow up on information and proposal requests, and resolve product and process challenges.
• Engage in field schools, training meetings, sales conventions, trade shows, and marketing presentations.
• Collaborate with Regional Vice Presidents, wholesalers, and product marketers on marketing strategies, sales initiatives, and recognition campaigns.
• Analyze internal, industry, economic, and competitive data to provide marketing support.
• Assist with new-product and product-enhancement projects, training material updates, and promotional campaigns.
• Maintain familiarity with TruStage’s annuity portfolio, investment advisor and broker/dealer operations, service areas, and vendor partnerships.
• Document field interactions using contact-management tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or customer service within the financial sector.
• Comprehensive knowledge of investment and/or insurance products.
• Proven sales and marketing expertise in annuities and variable products.
• Required FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Examination, Series 6 or 7 and 63 licenses.
• Necessary Life and Variable Licenses.
• Professional designations such as CPA, CFA, ChFC, or CLU are advantageous.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to present intricate product knowledge professionally, both via phone and in person.
• Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities for resource allocation.
• Ability to work autonomously and thrive under pressure.
• Demonstrated success in expanding a sales territory.
• Willingness and aptitude to cultivate relationships virtually and over the phone.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, territory management, independence, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in office automation tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
