Animal Services Operations Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate shelter operations, staffing, intake processes, and outcomes.

• Analyze animal control field services and associated policies.

• Compare practices with peers and suggest enhancements.

• Deliver presentations to city leadership.

• Contribute qualifications and past performance narratives to AlphaGov proposals when authorized.

• Participate in ongoing assessments of city animal services management and operations projects.

• Engagements are primarily remote with occasional travel to client locations.

• Confirm scope, timeline, and fees prior to the commencement of any engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in animal shelter or animal services management.

• Experience in operational assessments.

• Comfortable working as a 1099 project-based consultant.

• Certified Animal Welfare Administrator (CAWA) is a plus.

• Experience in municipal shelter leadership is advantageous.

• Knowledge of shelter medicine is a plus.
