Android Developer – Construction Tech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications utilizing Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

• Engage in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.

• Refactor, enhance, and modernize existing Android codebases.

• Implement features that are scalable and maintainable, adhering to Clean Architecture principles.

• Troubleshoot and address application issues as well as performance bottlenecks.

• Integrate native Android functionalities such as NFC, Bluetooth, and Camera SDKs.

• Collaborate effectively with iOS engineers, QA specialists, backend developers, and product stakeholders.

• Take part in all stages of the software development lifecycle.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving code quality, peer reviews, and continuous enhancement processes.

• Support CI/CD and engineering automation efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Android development.

• Strong expertise in Kotlin and contemporary Android development methodologies.

• Practical experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, Retrofit, and the Android SDK.

• Familiarity with MVVM and Clean Architecture methodologies.

• A solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals, including OOP, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.

• Experience with dependency injection and unit testing frameworks like Mockito and JUnit.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to independently drive feature development and provide technical solutions.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Intermediate or higher level of English proficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
