Anaplan Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain Anaplan models for revenue, expenses, headcount, and ASC 606 amortization planning.

• Collaborate with FP&A teams to collect requirements, comprehend planning workflows, and provide Finance solutions.

• Convert business requirements into Anaplan modules, line items, lists, and formulas.

• Apply model design best practices in partnership with the Senior Architect.

• Assist with Anaplan integrations involving source systems such as NetSuite.

• Diagnose formula errors, performance challenges, and unforeseen model behaviors.

• Oversee model modifications through Development, Quality Assurance, and production environments.

• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) alongside Finance stakeholders.

• Record model logic, change history, and decisions made during the build process.

• Aid in the onboarding of new versions and scenarios.

• Refresh and verify end-user access permissions.

• Conduct data auditing and validation with source systems.

• Report to the Senior Anaplan Architect and collaborate with teams from FP&A, Accounting, Finance Operations, IT, and data.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-4+ years of practical experience in Anaplan model building.

• Anaplan Model Builder certification (Level 1 and Level 2).

• Experience collaborating directly with FP&A teams or a background in Financial Planning & Analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• Expertise in Anaplan formula writing, including LOOKUP, OFFSET, RANKBY, conditional logic, and time-based calculations.

• Comprehensive understanding of Anaplan model architecture, including lists, modules, time dimensions, versions, and hierarchy structures.

• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems, especially as a data source for Anaplan models.

• Capability to read and modify existing model logic without disrupting downstream dependencies.

• Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with Finance and non-technical stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented with a methodical approach to testing and validation.

• Ability to remain seated for extended periods (typically 7–8 hours per day).

• Proficient in using a computer, phone systems, and multiple software applications concurrently.

• Ability to create, modify, and present digital materials and documentation.
