Anaplan Development Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the strategic roadmap for Anaplan.

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team across the UK, Europe, and India.

• Develop and manage the long-term Anaplan strategy and architecture for Ford Credit Europe.

• Ensure governance, data quality, model standards, and best practices across European Anaplan applications.

• Promote continuous improvement, automation, and simplification.

• Design, construct, and enhance Anaplan models for forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and portfolio analysis.

• Create automated and standardized reporting for senior stakeholders.

• Conduct driver-based variance analysis between actuals and forecasts/budgets.

• Strengthen and optimize existing models for robustness, scalability, and compliance.

• Lead comprehensive Anaplan initiatives from requirements gathering through deployment and training.

• Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, business teams, and Shared Services.

• Work in partnership with global Anaplan teams on group standards and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure model testing, data reconciliation, ALM processes, and user access management.

• Provide support to local markets and management teams.

• Mentor and guide Anaplan developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Anaplan Solution Architect certification is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience delivering complete Anaplan lifecycles (design, build, deployment, support).

• Strong understanding of multi-dimensional modeling, data integrations, model optimization, Anaplan architecture, and platform governance.

• Extensive experience with financial planning, budgeting, and management reporting processes.

• Background in banking, financial services, or similarly regulated environments.

• Proven experience with ALM, release planning, regression testing, and controlled deployments.

• Ability to convey complex modeling concepts in clear, relatable terms.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

• Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, including at the senior management level.

• Ability to design and maintain a cohesive, secure, and scalable Anaplan ecosystem.

• Advanced financial modeling skills are essential.

• Basic understanding of captive finance products.

• Knowledge of stress testing, capital principles, and risk concepts.

• Strong data analysis capabilities.
