This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop analytics strategies, KPI frameworks, and data product standards across various teams.

• Oversee the enterprise semantic and reporting layer strategy utilizing QuickSight/Tableau and Redshift/Athena.

• Collaborate with data engineering and architecture on domain models, data contracts, and self-serve analytics capabilities.

• Implement and uphold data quality, documentation, and review processes.

• Manage escalation and resolution paths for analytics-related issues.

• Guide and mentor analysts in their professional development.

• Oversee capacity management, prioritization, and quality across several workstreams.

• Convey insights and trade-offs effectively to executives.

• Facilitate decision-making through clear narratives and measurable outcomes.

• Enhance the cost-efficiency and performance of analytical workloads.

• Suggest storage and query patterns, including Redshift, Athena, and row-level caching techniques.

• Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and security regulations.

• Manage access policies in collaboration with platform teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Degree holders required for the visa application process.

• Proven track record in leading analytics programs and teams; effective stakeholder and executive communication skills.

• Expertise in SQL and performance engineering on Redshift.

• Extensive knowledge of Athena/S3, including partitioning, Parquet/ORC formats, and Glue cataloging.

• Proficient in BI architecture and governance within QuickSight/Tableau, focusing on semantic layers and certification processes.

• Advanced skills in Python for analytics automation, reproducibility, and adherence to standards.

• In-depth understanding of dimensional modeling, domain-driven design for analytics, and metric governance practices.

• Solid foundation in data quality frameworks, documentation methods, and analytics SDLC, including version control, review, and release processes.

• Demonstrated resilience, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to agile delivery.

• Comprehensive understanding of the distinction between coding and engineering.

• Proficiency in advanced oral English.

• Proficiency in advanced Spanish.

• Preferred: experience influencing data platform architecture decisions.

• Preferred: familiarity with Redshift Spectrum, RA3 architecture, and concurrency scaling techniques.

• Preferred: experience with cost optimization and workload management at scale, capacity planning, and SLA definition.

• Preferred: a good understanding of AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar technologies.

• Preferred: familiarity with cloud-native foundations or AI coding assistants.
