Analytics Engineer – Payments, Finance Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +7 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the finance data domain from start to finish

• Create, sustain, and enhance finance data products, which include reports, alerts, and automation processes

• Develop financial data models in Pigment utilizing Python, Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt

• Implement and oversee continuous monitoring for data freshness, completeness, quality, and reconciliation discrepancies

• Investigate incidents thoroughly and guide them to resolution

• Design LLM agents to expedite analysis, tooling, documentation, and automation throughout the finance data stack

• Integrate data from various sources and enhance its quality

• Conduct reconciliations to ensure the reliability of financial models

• Clarify complex data challenges and their implications for Finance and business teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Python and SQL, with experience in a data engineering or analytics engineering capacity

• Demonstrated experience in creating data models using dbt

• Practical experience with real-world financial or payments data

• Capability to design systems that handle messy, duplicated, delayed, or inconsistent data inputs

• Proven experience in managing reconciliation and/or data quality processes

• Familiarity with monitoring systems and incident resolution

• Strong sense of ownership and accountability

• Skill in investigating discrepancies and justifying numbers to Finance leadership

• Ability to work independently and tackle complex data challenges
