Analytics Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement enterprise data products that facilitate analytical and operational reporting for Mariner.

• Convert established business requirements into scalable data models and datasets utilizing Snowflake, SQL, dbt, and Python.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to collect and refine data and reporting requirements.

• Create and sustain scalable data models and data products using dbt and Snowflake.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, business analysts, and various business teams throughout the analytics lifecycle.

• Contribute to semantic-layer models, business metrics, and standardized definitions that support AI-enabled agents, workflows, and uniform analytics.

• Implement Snowflake DDL operations, RBAC, SQL functions, and Snowflake Cortex.

• Ensure data quality and governance through practices related to data validation, security, and quality assurance.

• Engage in code reviews, version control, testing, and CI/CD processes.

• Deliver project updates, technical documentation, and implementation progress to both technical and business stakeholders.

• Play a role in the development of modern data platforms and the continuous support of organizational data products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence.

• At least 3 years of experience with SQL and analytical databases such as Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server, or Azure.

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining data models, pipelines, and reporting datasets.

• Background in Agile methodologies and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in data validation.

• Effective communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data analytics, or a related technical discipline (preferred).

• Experience in wealth management or the financial services sector (preferred).

• Familiarity with dbt for data modeling, testing, documentation, and deployment workflows (preferred).

• Experience with Git and version control methodologies (preferred).

• Understanding of ELT and ETL processes and tools (preferred).

• Exposure to semantic-layer concepts and tools (preferred).

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
