This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, and maintain intricate data models within Snowflake.
• Construct efficient data pipelines and transformations employing dbt.
• Execute conversational data queries and leverage AI-driven insights utilizing Snowflake Intelligence features such as Cortex Analyst, Cortex Agents, Cortex Search, and AISQL.
• Create advanced SQL queries and analyze extensive datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Looker dashboards and LookML.
• Empower stakeholders to engage with data via natural-language queries.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, business, and other stakeholders to provide data-driven solutions.
• Identify opportunities for integrating AI, machine learning, and NLP technologies.
• Write Python code for data analysis, processing, and automation tasks.
• Utilize shell scripting and command-line tools to facilitate data workflows.
• Integrate validated code into automated workflows, such as Airflow job scheduling.
• Produce visualizations and presentations for senior management and cross-functional teams.
• Stay updated with advancements in data engineering, analytics, dbt, Snowflake, and BI innovations.
• Enhance the organization’s analytics stack, data practices, and data culture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in data analytics or a comparable field.
• Significant experience with AI and Machine Learning applications in analytics.
• Advanced SQL capabilities with complex queries on large-scale datasets.
• Practical experience with dbt for building, testing, and documenting data models.
• Expert knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse concepts.
• Experience with Snowflake and familiarity with its advanced AI functionalities.
• Strong proficiency in Looker and LookML or equivalent BI tools.
• Proficient in Python, including libraries such as pandas and NumPy.
• Experience with shell scripting and command-line utilities.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools, and Docker.
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud environments.
• Solid grasp of Git and CI/CD methodologies.
• Familiarity with agile development practices.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience applying data governance best practices and ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Knowledge of data ethics, bias mitigation, and data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
