This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, and uphold automated, scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines utilizing Python, SQL, and cloud-based technologies.
• Integrate, transform, and ensure the validity of structured and unstructured data from a variety of sources.
• Create and oversee analytics-ready data models and workflows in Databricks or comparable platforms.
• Apply GitLab CI/CD methodologies for data workflows.
• Conceptualize, develop, and implement interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent tools.
• Execute data mining, cleaning, and manipulation tasks employing SQL and Python.
• Carry out exploratory data analysis, feature preparation, model validation, and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, software developers, and stakeholders to convert business needs into data models, pipelines, and visual representations.
• Manage metadata, data dictionaries, and technical documentation.
• Generate recurring and ad-hoc reports for leadership.
• Address urgent and ad-hoc data requests.
• Assist in collaborative research and analysis initiatives across various program areas.
• Offer technical advice and mentorship regarding analytics best practices, Python scripting, data modeling, and workflow automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline, with over 5 years of experience (or 3+ years with a Master's) in analytics engineering, data engineering, or data analysis.
• Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and Git/GitLab.
• Proven experience in building ETL/ELT pipelines with CI/CD and data engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases, such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Experience in creating executive-level dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to analyze extensive, complex datasets and convey insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to operate independently and in collaboration within fast-paced, agile settings.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• US citizenship is required.
• Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain Public Trust (BI Full 6C (T4)); ability to acquire Top Secret clearance is necessary.
