Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end ELT process, encompassing modeling, testing, documentation, cost management, and performance oversight.

• Ensure that orchestration is managed effectively, with pipelines that are dependable, timely, and precise.

• Extend and maintain extraction and loading capabilities from new data sources.

• Develop and implement data quality tests and validation checks.

• Lead the strategy for the BI layer and provide recommendations for Swoon's long-term BI vision.

• Enhance self-service analytics for colleagues in commercial, operations, and marketing who may not have technical backgrounds.

• Utilize AI tools for analysis, transformation development, documentation, and quality assurance.

• Identify and implement AI solutions for operational reconciliation, customer service triage, content creation, and supplier management.

• Collaborate with leaders in commercial, marketing, and operations to convert business inquiries into actionable insights.

• Manage the warehouse, transformation layer, orchestration, and analytics surface comprehensively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and operating a production analytics environment.

• Proficiency in SQL and Python.

• Familiarity with Snowflake and orchestration tools (such as Airflow or similar).

• Practical experience leveraging AI tools in real-world workflows.

• Capability to define your own roadmap, prioritize tasks based on commercial impact, and deliver results independently.

• Ability to communicate technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders and assertively push back on inappropriate requests while maintaining positive relationships.
