This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and take ownership of essential metrics regarding infrastructure costs, usage, and efficiency across computing, storage, streaming, and machine learning platforms.

• Innovate techniques to assess the productivity impact of AI tools and autonomous agents.

• Enhance the speed and quality of efficiency assessments by transforming slow, manual analyses into trusted and reusable insights.

• Identify and quantify efficiency opportunities, translating cost and usage trends into actionable savings recommendations.

• Create dashboards, reports, and data narratives tailored for engineers and senior executives.

• Collaborate with Visualization Engineers to develop dashboards and reporting interfaces.

• Work alongside Data Engineers to enhance upstream data pipelines.

• Partner with Data Scientists on forecasting and reliability initiatives.

• Formulate metric frameworks, targets, datasets, business logic, pipelines, analyses, and recommendations to guide Netflix's infrastructure investment decisions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in metric research and development within a technical field.

• Capability to construct metric frameworks at various granularities that cohesively establish reliable targets.

• Ability to independently explore data, perform cleaning, engage in light pipeline construction, develop business logic, and create dashboards.

• Proficient in Python and SQL programming languages.

• Competence in effectively working with complex, evolving data and evaluating data quality.

• Outstanding communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in storytelling with data to influence decisions across all business levels.

• Strong product insight and product thinking capabilities.

• Comfort with ambiguity and minimal supervision or established processes.

• Considerate application of AI, coding agents, and analytics agents, including the evaluation of their outputs.

• Experience in measuring cost, efficiency, or system performance in cloud or streaming environments is advantageous, or a strong desire to gain deep expertise in this area.
