This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to cultivate expertise in cloud gaming infrastructure, focusing on quality of experience, capacity, and utilization.
• Grasp how data, analytics, experimentation, and algorithms can enhance infrastructure performance and inform investment strategies.
• Take ownership of the analytic data layer and data products, which include pipelines, tables, dashboards, AI agents, tooling, and self-service assets.
• Transform the QoE framework and capacity/utilization characterization into dependable insights for stakeholders.
• Engage in telemetry extension and logging, data modeling, metrics development, visualization, and insights generation.
• Lead the alignment of resources to tackle the most critical infrastructure challenges.
• Create self-service access rather than relying on ad hoc delivery methods.
• Ensure that published assets are reliable, well-documented, and maintainable.
• Proactively identify and spearhead high-impact investments across the cloud gaming infrastructure data domain.
• A strong passion for addressing real-world challenges through analytics, tooling, and visualization, along with a knack for independently discovering new, impactful analytic opportunities.
• Proficiency in SQL (Trino, Spark SQL), programming (e.g., Python), ETL processes, and large-scale data warehousing concepts.
• Previous experience with dbt is considered a plus.
• A keen interest in learning and embracing AI capabilities, coupled with the ability to evaluate whether outputs are reliable and explainable.
• A curiosity to develop deep expertise in data science and engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of distributed systems engineering and networking.
• Experience in creating pipelines of moderate complexity using extensive telemetry datasets.
• Capacity to effectively collaborate with data engineering teams to construct scalable solutions.
• Strong judgment regarding investment priorities, maintaining a focus on the broader picture, and a preference for enduring, scalable capabilities.
• Proven ability to build strong partnerships and communicate technical and analytical concepts clearly and succinctly to diverse audiences.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to thrive with minimal oversight and established processes.
