Analyst, Cybersecurity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a diverse range of clients and platforms.

• Manage alert escalations and address incidents as needed.

• Engage with Security, Engineering, and Service teams.

• Promptly respond to escalated issues from tier 1 analysts.

• Handle and take action on escalations from the MDR provider.

• Partner with the engineering team and clients to enhance detection and response capabilities.

• Ensure the health and security of the platform is maintained.

• Communicate effectively with management, peers, and clients.

• Stay informed about security and control challenges in emerging technologies.

• Plan, implement, and support new security projects and initiatives.

• Take ownership of pending issues and ensure they are resolved.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of experience in a security operations team, system engineering, or a technical security role.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Microsoft Certified (MCSE) or a comparable certification is a plus.

• A current or soon-to-be acquired Security Certificate, such as CompTIA CySA or Security+.

• Knowledge of industry-standard tools and applications, including Rapid7, Palo Alto, SentinelOne, and KnowBe4.

• Familiarity with SIEM, Anti-Virus, Email/Spam Filtering, and Asset Monitoring tools.

• Proficient in SIEM query languages, Palo Alto Panorama, SentinelOne, Nagios, Mimecast, or Proofpoint.

• Ability to navigate and utilize a ticketing system like ServiceNow.

• Experience with change management and security remediation processes.

• Skilled in security documentation, technical writing, and policy creation.

• Capable of conveying technical/security information or concepts in an accessible manner.

• Takes initiative and excels in both independent and collaborative project work.

• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Must be available to occasionally work evenings and weekends.
