This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support for secure client environments by actively engaging in threat hunting, reporting, and consulting on the current state of client environments.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for in-house Security Analysts seeking additional expertise or oversight.
• Collaborate with Lead Security Analysts, Security Engineering, and other Managed Services staff to fulfill client service expectations.
• Offer feedback, mentorship, and growth opportunities to team members.
• Strategically plan and implement long-term initiatives that benefit clients and services.
• Act as the designated Security Analyst for Presidio MDR clients.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Analyze security incidents to identify malicious activities.
• Produce security reports that address security concerns, analysis, and remediation techniques.
• Work alongside Senior Security Analysts, Engineering, and Architecture teams to establish and refine security use cases across various platforms.
• Assist Engineering in managing toolset access for the Analyst Team.
• Develop and track security activity metrics, identify trends, and create continuous-improvement action plans.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and quality-control procedures while enhancing alerting and operational tools.
• Contribute to and uphold best-practice policies, and submit content for the Knowledge Base.
• Conduct root-cause analyses of critical incidents to improve preventative and reactive processes.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, tools, standards, best practices, and news.
• Create detailed security reports outlining issues, analysis, and remediation strategies.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and/or military background.
• Over 5 years of relevant IT experience.
• At least 2 years of analyst experience with enterprise-level case management tools.
• Minimum of 2 years of analyst experience utilizing enterprise-level SIEM tools.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Managed Service Provider or customer support role.
• Familiarity with common network-based services and client/server applications.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to define effective security procedures and implement process enhancements.
• Practical understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS, and similar frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience in developing technical documentation, reports, dashboards, SOPs, and Knowledge Base articles.
• Prior exposure to vulnerability scanning tools.
• Previous experience in a SOAR platform.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced 24/7/365 shift environment.
• Preferred experience with an MSSP and/or MDR provider.
• Capability to collaborate within a technical team and mentor peers.
• GIAC, SSCP, CISSP, CISM, or other security-related certifications are highly desired.
• 5% travel requirement.
