This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support for secure client environments through proactive threat hunting, reporting, and consulting services.
• Deliver first-level support, expertise, and guidance to in-house Security Analysts.
• Collaborate with Lead Security Analysts, Security Engineering, and the Presidio Managed Services team to fulfill client service expectations.
• Offer feedback, mentorship, and growth opportunities to team members.
• Strategize and implement long-term plans that benefit clients and services.
• Act as the designated Security Analyst for Presidio MDR clients.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Analyze security events to identify malicious activities.
• Produce security reports detailing security issues, analysis, and remediation methods.
• Work alongside Senior Security Analysts, Engineering, and Architecture teams to create and refine security use cases across various platforms.
• Assist Engineering in managing tool access for the Analyst Team.
• Create and track metrics for security activities, identify emerging trends, and devise continuous improvement action plans.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and quality control standards.
• Design enhancements for alerting and operational tools.
• Contribute to and uphold best-practice policies and add content to the Knowledge Base.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of significant events to refine preventative and reactive processes.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, tools, standards, best practices, and news.
• Generate detailed security reports that outline issues, analysis, and remediation strategies.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and/or military background.
• Over 5 years of relevant IT experience.
• At least 2 years of analyst experience utilizing enterprise-level case management tools.
• Minimum of 2 years of analyst experience with enterprise-level SIEM tools.
• More than 2 years of experience in a Managed Service Provider or customer support role.
• Familiarity with common network-based services and client/server applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to define and implement effective security processes and improvements.
• In-depth knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS, and related frameworks and methodologies.
• Proven experience in creating technical documentation, reports, dashboards, SOPs, and Knowledge Base articles.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools.
• Familiarity with working in a SOAR platform.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic 24/7/365 shift environment.
• Preferably experienced with an MSSP and/or MDR provider.
• Strong collaboration skills within a technical team and a passion for mentoring others.
• Enthusiasm for cybersecurity and a commitment to continuous learning about attack vectors, threats, and security frameworks.
• Preferred certifications include GIAC, SSCP, CISSP, CISM, or other security-related credentials.
• Remote position located within the Continental US.
• Travel requirements limited to 5%.
