Mainframe Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the mainframe RACF environment while monitoring security access trends.

• Establish and remove user accounts across multiple mainframe systems.

• Verify that appropriate permissions are implemented to safeguard sensitive information.

• Collaborate with the Infrastructure Services provider to ensure the application of security updates across various mainframe environments.

• Act as the primary resource for investigating and resolving queries related to mainframe security and access.

• Deliver regular reports concerning production and UAT security and identity-management processing challenges.

• Conduct routine user and security audits of the mainframe RACF environment.

• May be required to participate in on-call shifts to support batch processing and monitoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may substitute for the degree.

• Proficiency in analyzing government mainframe systems.

• Experience in managing mainframe user accounts and the security environment for a large government agency that facilitates medical claims processing and a common workload file (CWF).

• Advanced knowledge of IBM RACF and Vanguard Security tools.

• Proficient in mainframe and host-based security.

• Experience with the audit process and security review for RACF.

• Capability to use an incident ticketing system for opening, resolving, and closing tickets and service requests.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external clients.

• In-depth industry knowledge to understand customer needs and address their concerns.

• High level of focus and attention to detail.

• Strong work ethic and effective time management skills.

• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and lead meetings.

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical abilities.

• Candidates supporting CMS programs must have resided in the United States for at least three of the last five years prior to consideration.
