This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess and analyze submissions to determine their compliance with various company guidelines.

• Negotiate terms and conditions for coverage.

• Provide accurate and timely quotes and bind policies.

• Collect and maintain thorough, organized underwriting documentation.

• Evaluate risks within the scope of established authority.

• Guarantee adherence to carrier guidelines, state regulations, and surplus lines mandates.

• Foster relationships with agents, internal teams, carriers, and external partners to uncover profitable growth opportunities.

• Meet individual and team production objectives by cultivating a profitable book of business and increasing policies in force and premium.

• Communicate effectively and succinctly with stakeholders, both in writing and verbally.

• Conduct research on agency, carrier, and market data to inform decision-making.

• Respond to inquiries within specified service level standards.

• Provide guidance to agencies on carriers and products within the specialty and connect agents with relevant resources for opportunities beyond the specialty.


⛳️ Requirements

• Current P&C and Surplus Lines licenses, or the ability to acquire them within 45 days.

• Capability to identify, assess, analyze, and propose solutions for insurance requirements.

• Knowledge of and compliance with state-specific underwriting laws, insurance regulations, and statutes.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities for engaging, influencing, and negotiating with business partners.

• Willingness to learn job-related software applications.

• Expertise in product knowledge, functional/technical abilities, negotiation, consulting, problem-solving, workload management, and decision-making quality.

• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving situations.

• Over 2 years of relevant insurance experience is preferred.

• An undergraduate degree may be considered in place of experience.

• Preferred areas of study include business, risk management, or a related discipline.

• Experience in Commercial Lines insurance is preferred.

• Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, or equivalent are preferred.
