This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Monitor and analyze security alerts on SIEM and EDR/XDR platforms, including QRadar and Cortex XDR, on rotating 12x36 shifts.

• Conduct initial analysis of each alert, validate it, classify its severity, and prioritize it according to service procedures.

• Investigate indicators such as IPs, domains, hashes, and phishing emails to differentiate between false positives and real threats.

• Notify clients and escalate incidents to the second-level team within committed timelines.

• Log each case in the ticketing system clearly and comprehensively.

• Ensure orderly shift handovers.

• Suggest improvements to procedures and detection rules based on the cases handled.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technician, graduate, or degree holder in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Networks, or related fields.

• At least 1 year of experience in SOC, security monitoring, NOC, or IT support.

• Recent graduates with cybersecurity training will also be considered.

• Knowledge of networks (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, email).

• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Understanding of SIEM and EDR/XDR tools.

• Awareness of common attacks (phishing, malware, ransomware).

• Intermediate technical English, with reading proficiency.

• Availability for rotating 12x36 shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Cisco CyberOps, BTL1, SAL1, HTB CDSA, or Microsoft SC-200 certification is desirable.
