This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the Bank's framework for managing assets, liabilities, and measuring interest rate risk.
• Spearhead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration of the Bank's ALM platform, which includes data mapping, reconciliations, model controls, change management, vendor coordination, and issue resolution.
• Create, document, and assess behavioral and market assumptions, such as deposit betas and decay, loan prepayments, repricing characteristics, funding rollover behavior, yield curves, and product optionality.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis, backtesting, and outcomes analysis.
• Design and assess rate shocks, ramps, curve twists, and business-plan scenarios.
• Identify risk drivers, monitor limits and early warning indicators, and clarify changes in the Bank's interest rate risk profile.
• Suggest actions regarding balance sheet, product pricing, funding, investment, and hedging.
• Evaluate the ALM implications of new products and changes in balance sheet strategy.
• Prepare ALM and interest rate risk reports for the Asset and Liability Committee, executive management, the Board, Internal Audit, and regulatory bodies.
• Facilitate policy administration, model risk management, independent validation, examinations, audits, and the continuous enhancement of Treasury reporting.
• Report directly to the Bank Treasurer and collaborate with Finance, Risk, Lending, Deposit Product, Accounting, Data, Engineering, and Regulatory Reporting.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in bank treasury, asset and liability management, interest rate risk management, balance sheet management, or a closely related area.
• Experience in a commercial bank, community bank, or bank holding company within a regulated environment.
• Practical experience operating an ALM platform and generating net interest income and economic value sensitivity analyses across various rate and balance sheet scenarios.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and governing model assumptions, reconciling source data to model inputs, analyzing model results, monitoring policy limits, and preparing ALM or IRR reports for senior management or an Asset and Liability Committee.
• Preferred: experience in presenting ALM and interest rate risk analyses to senior stakeholders, auditors, and bank regulators.
• Preferred: understanding of OCC, Federal Reserve, and FDIC supervisory expectations.
• Preferred: experience with fixed-rate consumer lending, retail and wholesale deposits, investment securities, derivatives, and rapidly growing bank balance sheets.
• Preferred: advanced skills in spreadsheet and financial modeling, SQL or similar data tools, and familiarity with ALM platforms such as Empyrean, QRM, BancWare, Moody's Analytics, or similar systems.
• Preferred: experience in model validation, assumption backtesting, model change governance, hedging analysis, or funds transfer pricing.
• CFA, FRM, or another relevant professional credential is advantageous.
