This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Act as the main liaison for accounts and healthcare providers.
• Develop tailored account and customer experiences.
• Establish meaningful relationships and identify common priorities.
• Facilitate solutions connecting customers to Novartis resources.
• Balance demand generation with strategic account involvement.
• Address and resolve account challenges with customized solutions.
• Create strategic territory plans to boost product demand and enhance patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office staff.
• Assess market, competitive, and cross-functional dynamics to spot opportunities and tackle challenges.
• Utilize territory data and market trends to reveal local insights and aid pull-through initiatives.
• Lead customer interactions both virtually and in-person.
• Organize stakeholder planning sessions to address complex issues.
• Provide real-time access support and partner with Patient Specialty Services.
• Employ digital tools and omni-channel strategies for both virtual and face-to-face customer engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university is mandatory.
• Relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similar industries with geographically dispersed sales teams within the last 5 years; candidates from medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, or B2B sectors will also be considered.
• Demonstrated history of consistently high performance.
• Experience in navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers.
• Strong analytical skills to seek, prioritize, and apply pertinent information to resolve customer issues.
• Ethical leadership with the ability to promote ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a wide geographic area by driving and/or flying.
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• Associate level: Recently transitioned from the US Military with 4+ years of leadership service, or limited prior sales experience.
• Territory Account Specialist: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant sales or industry role within the last 5 years.
• Senior Territory Account Specialist: At least 5 years’ experience in a relevant sales or industry position within the last 5 years.
• Executive Territory Account Specialist: 10+ years’ experience in a relevant sales or industry role within the last 5 years.
• Capability to work collaboratively across functions within a matrix environment and communicate clinical product information.
• Must adhere to customer credentialing requirements for customer-facing positions.
• Successful completion of initial training is required, including home study of up to 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
