This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Achieve and surpass sales targets in designated markets by promoting and selling airport advertising.
• Build relationships with local businesses, secure new advertisers, and manage existing accounts.
• Identify new clients, deliver sales presentations, negotiate rates, finalize deals, and offer post-sale customer support.
• Directly visit customers and prospects to cultivate and sustain relationships.
• Demonstrate products to current and prospective clients and assist in selecting products that meet their requirements.
• Discover potential growth opportunities and establish new accounts.
• Create, nurture, and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers to generate daily new business.
• Sustain and expand a personal account list through phone calls, in-person meetings, and presentations.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
• Research potential customers and evaluate their prospects.
• Prepare written proposals and quotes.
• Address customer issues and complaints effectively.
• Align sales efforts with marketing, sales management, administrative, and operations teams.
• Provide a weekly pipeline report to the Manager.
• Strategically plan and organize personal sales efforts to maximize time investment returns.
• Deliver oral and written reports to management regarding customer needs, challenges, interests, competitive activities, and potential new products and services.
• Stay updated on product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, and advertising trends.
• Foster and maintain positive relationships with Airport Authority personnel through regular communication and meetings.
• Respond swiftly and professionally to inquiries from Airport Authority staff.
• Notify the Airport Fulfillment Team, Airport Services, and National Sales of any changes or adjustments to inventory locations.
• Collaborate with the Airport Office Manager and Airport Billing team regarding monthly airport revenue reports.
• Address requests from the National Sales and National Account Services Manager within established guidelines.
• Monitor the end dates of National campaigns and provide opportunities for renewal.
• Inform National Sales about upcoming market events and opportunities.
• Offer local oversight to administrative and operational staff.
• Coordinate the timely delivery of products and services, including collections.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and listening abilities.
• Proficient in one-on-one communication, utilizing appropriate vocabulary and grammar to gather information, explain policies and procedures, and persuade others.
• Capable of delivering oral presentations effectively.
• Skilled in interacting with individuals from varied social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
• General understanding of local and national media trends, including knowledge of companies beyond Lamar.
• Ability to clarify the outdoor advertising business to customers and account executives from both installation and product perspectives.
• Competent in working independently and following through with minimal guidance.
• Able to operate under general supervision and resolve most conflicts autonomously.
• Proficient in initiating projects and assignments.
• Capable of analyzing information, problems, or situations, identifying concerns and patterns, and drawing logical conclusions.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• A valid Driver’s License is mandatory.
• 2-3 years of proven success in business-to-business sales is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field is preferred.
• Experience in advertising/media sales is a plus.
• Established relationships with local clients and a successful track record of selling to direct clients is preferred.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship is required.
• Completion of an 8-15 minute personality assessment is necessary during the application process.
• Part-time schedule from Monday to Friday (100% remote).
