AI Technical Product Manager – 100% remote

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Product Lead to convert the QV.AC vision into use cases, feature suggestions, and product specifications.

• Collect user feedback, perform research, and pinpoint significant challenges that AI can address.

• Draft product briefs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and user workflows.

• Develop wireframes, mockups, and functional prototypes utilizing AI-assisted tools.

• Work alongside engineers to evaluate feasibility and technical trade-offs across various devices and models.

• Evaluate response quality, latency, memory consumption, battery usage, and privacy implications.

• Assist in prioritizing opportunities, clarifying scope, identifying dependencies, and managing the product backlog.

• Propel assigned features through the development process, address product inquiries, review user experiences, and coordinate feedback along with release preparedness.

• Investigate new AI products, models, tools, and interaction patterns, and advise on what QV.AC should explore or implement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of product management experience, preferably with AI software products alongside technical engineering teams.

• Hands-on experience in building, launching, or prototyping AI-driven features, with the ability to articulate your contributions and lessons learned.

• Fundamental understanding of AI concepts including inference, harnesses, model capabilities and limitations, context, and evaluation.

• Interest in local and on-device AI technologies.

• Capability to transform vague ideas into well-defined user problems, proposed solutions, and actionable requirements.

• Strong product discernment, focusing on usability, scope, and quantifiable user value.

• Confidence in creating prototypes using design or programming tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of discussing technical trade-offs with engineers and conveying them to non-technical team members.

• Proactive and collaborative mindset; comfortable taking ownership, asking questions early, and integrating feedback.

• Familiarity with product analytics, user research, and iterative software development processes.

• Preferred: Experience with local AI, on-device inference, or open-source models.

• Preferred: Background in developing AI assistants, conversational interfaces, or multimodal features.

• Preferred: Knowledge of desktop or mobile product development.

• Preferred: Understanding of peer-to-peer technologies and decentralized applications.

• Preferred: Experience in assessing AI output quality and designing user experiences that accommodate uncertainty and errors.

• Preferred: Experience working within a distributed team environment.
