AI Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, enhance, and modernize large-scale enterprise applications utilizing Java, JavaScript, and database technologies in the healthcare sector.

• Create and optimize intricate SQL and AWS RDS solutions, focusing on query tuning, indexing, execution-plan analysis, and overall application performance.

• Leverage GitHub Copilot and advanced AI models for various coding tasks, including testing, debugging, refactoring, code reviews, documentation, and technical analysis.

• Utilize AI models for addressing complex challenges, architectural design, root-cause analysis, performance optimization, and legacy code evaluation.

• Support the development and maintenance of REST APIs, healthcare integrations, and HL7 interfaces.

• Offer technical leadership through solution design, peer reviews, troubleshooting, mentoring, and implementation of engineering best practices.

• Design, develop, review, test, document, and implement sophisticated solutions involving Java, JavaScript, SQL, and database systems.

• Conduct code and design reviews to promote modular, maintainable, secure, and testable software engineering methodologies.

• Provide comprehensive technical and production support across application, database, and integration layers.

• Evaluate technical specifications and propose solutions aimed at modernization, performance enhancement, scalability, reliability, and reduction of technical debt.

• Ensure that AI-generated solutions undergo thorough review, testing, security checks, and validation prior to implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of ten years of experience in application development or software engineering, specifically supporting complex enterprise applications.

• Advanced practical knowledge in Java and JavaScript programming languages.

• Proficient in REST/SOAP APIs, application design, testing, debugging, and contemporary development practices.

• Extensive experience with SQL, relational databases, PostgreSQL/Oracle, AWS RDS, including indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Experience utilizing GitHub Copilot and advanced AI models for coding, code analysis, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and technical problem-solving.

• Strong background in solution design, code reviews, technical documentation, complex troubleshooting, mentoring, and the modernization of enterprise applications.

• All interviews and the initial week of orientation require the use of video cameras.
