AI Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee security evaluations of AI/ML models, data pipelines, and applications powered by AI.

• Detect vulnerabilities such as prompt injection, model inversion, data poisoning, and adversarial inputs.

• Collaborate with Data & Analytics and Engineering teams to integrate security requirements and threat modeling throughout the AI development lifecycle.

• Develop and sustain production guardrails, monitoring, and detection measures for AI systems.

• Identify unusual model behaviors and unauthorized data access.

• Perform security evaluations of third-party AI tools, APIs, and vendors.

• Manage incident response for security incidents related to AI.

• Create and provide guidance on standards for secure and responsible AI usage.

• Evaluate and validate access controls, encryption, and data segmentation.

• Employ AI tools for security assessments, code reviews, and threat research.

• Keep abreast of the changing AI threat landscape and convert emerging risks into mitigation strategies.

• Record findings, risk assessments, and remediation strategies for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Report to the Lead Security Engineer and escalate complex or high-impact issues to senior security leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering or application security.

• Practical experience in securing AI/ML systems or applications based on LLM.

• In-depth understanding of AI/ML security risks, including OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, adversarial ML, and data poisoning.

• Demonstrated ability to test for and alleviate AI/ML security risks.

• Hands-on experience with SAST/DAST and vulnerability scanning techniques.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or a similar language.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructures including AWS, Azure, or GCP and security for AI/ML workloads.

• Capacity to convey technical risks to non-security stakeholders.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced post-merger environment.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
