AI Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of quarterly goals across engineering, research and development, and customer delivery, encompassing scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, decisions, and stakeholder communications.

• Lead synchronized planning efforts across technical and delivery teams, converting shared priorities into actionable plans with designated owners and milestones.

• Recognize initiatives that are at risk and formulate recovery strategies to regain delivery assurance.

• Establish and maintain a business operating rhythm, which includes planning cycles, business reviews, decision tracking, and follow-up on actions.

• Develop and uphold executive-level KPIs and dashboards that reflect delivery progress, operational health, risks, and business results.

• Create processes, handoffs, and playbooks for consistent customer launches and organizational scalability.

• Oversee the integration and deployment of manufacturing software, including MES and MOM/MOS platforms, in collaboration with the Platform and IT, R&D, and Customer Delivery teams.

• Facilitate operational adoption within plant environments.

• Manage a globally distributed data science and modeling team, including members based in Israel.

• Collaborate with customer success managers and engineers deployed in the field on mill connectivity, training, adoption, and value realization.

• Utilize Azure DevOps or Jira to enhance transparency, oversee execution, and uphold accountability.

• Inform engineers, field teams, customers, and senior leaders about delivery challenges, trade-offs, risks, and decisions.

• Leverage deployment insights to refine future planning and launch execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in managing complex technology projects from inception to delivery.

• Proven success in leading coordinated planning efforts across various engineering or technical teams, achieving measurable delivery outcomes.

• Demonstrated expertise in recovering at-risk projects through effective plans, stakeholder alignment, and disciplined execution.

• Practical experience with Azure DevOps or Jira.

• Experience in delivering, integrating, or deploying manufacturing software in plant settings, particularly with MES and MOM/MOS platforms.

• Familiarity with designing and executing business rhythms, including business reviews, planning cycles, decision logs, and action tracking.

• Proven track record in developing executive KPIs and dashboards.

• Experience in creating scalable processes, handoffs, and playbooks that are widely adopted.

• Experience in leading or coordinating large, globally distributed engineering and quality assurance teams across different time zones without formal authority.

• Strong, clear written and verbal communication skills with technical teams, field organizations, customers, and senior leadership.

• Preferred: experience in delivering digital or software products in an industrial, chemical, or manufacturing context.

• Preferred: prior experience in software development leadership.

• Preferred: background in startup or early-stage ventures transitioning an alpha, prototype, or pilot into full production.

• Preferred: experience in coordinating customer-facing delivery teams.

• Preferred: PMP, Agile, or equivalent recognized project management certification.

• Preferred: familiarity with industrial data and plant-connectivity technologies, including MES, MOM/MOS, historians, OPC, and IoT platforms.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
