AI Product Owner – Conversational AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Management of projects focusing on Transformation and AI strategy.

• Independently plan, oversee, and implement strategic AI and transformation initiatives from start to finish.

• Demand planning and initiation involving requirements gathering, development of business cases, and resource and capacity planning.

• Stakeholder management through identification, analysis, and effective communication with all pertinent internal and external project stakeholders.

• Risk management through systematic identification, assessment, and control of project risks, including escalation and mitigation strategies.

• Development and upkeep of project structure plans, milestone timelines, and status updates.

• Accountability for the roadmap of our conversational AI solutions, such as chatbot and voice-bot systems.

• Prioritization, backlog management, and sprint planning utilizing agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

• Functional leadership of cross-disciplinary teams involving development, CRM, and external service providers.

• Facilitation of workshops, decision-making sessions, and sprint ceremonies.

• Planning and executing user testing for early insights and iterative enhancements.

• Identification and assessment of new use cases for conversational AI and automation.

• Collaboration with development teams to define requirements, assess realistic effort, and evaluate technical feasibility.

• Quality assurance, testing, and coordination of go-live processes.

• Independent implementation of hosting and deployment of AI tools and prototypes on Microsoft Azure.

• Version control and collaborative coding via Git/GitHub, including branching, reviews, and releases.

• Practical application of Claude Code for developing, automating, and ensuring the quality of technical solutions.

• Preparation and transition of proofs-of-concept into production-ready, hosted applications.

• Acting as a technical liaison between product ownership, development teams, and IT infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, preferably with a focus on software or AI-driven products.

• Alternatively, experience in management consulting or technology sectors with a strong emphasis on digitalization, data, or AI.

• Strong understanding of agile project management practices (Scrum, Kanban).

• Solid technical knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning to effectively assess use cases and guide development teams.

• Experience in stakeholder management and in facilitating workshops and decision-making processes.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure for hosting and deployment (e.g., App Services, Functions, or similar services).

• Proficient in Git/GitHub, including version control, branching, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with Claude Code (or similar AI-coding agents) for development and automation tasks.

• Basic understanding of LLMs, RAG architectures, NLP, and prompt engineering to realistically evaluate the feasibility and effort of conversational AI use cases.

• Ability to convert qualitative and quantitative data into informed decision-making.

• Proactive attitude, rapid iteration, and a strong focus on results.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities (fluent in both German and English).

• High degree of initiative, entrepreneurial mindset, and enjoyment in taking responsibility within flat organizational structures.

• Proficiency in both German and English.
