This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead and provide guidance on the enterprise AI product strategy across various business functions.
• Identify, prioritize, and implement AI use cases that align with strategic goals.
• Assess and recommend AI vendor platforms and tools.
• Manage proof-of-concept projects and develop business cases for adoption.
• Define AI product specifications, success metrics, and rollout strategies in collaboration with IT, business stakeholders, and vendors.
• Assist with cybersecurity and infrastructure evaluations of AI tools and platforms.
• Drive AI adoption, change management, user training, and governance initiatives.
• Create and uphold an AI governance framework that addresses risk, usage guidelines, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Corporate Systems teams to ensure the availability of high-quality, governed data assets.
• Act as the main IT contact for R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, CMC, and Training teams.
• Develop and implement AI literacy training and enablement programs.
• Maintain a registry of AI use cases to track status, ROI metrics, and lessons learned.
• Provide updates on the AI program, roadmap progress, and recommendations to leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 8 years of experience in product management, enterprise technology, or a similar role within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sector.
• Experience overseeing AI/ML or GenAI product initiatives, including vendor assessment, tool implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong knowledge of large language model (LLM) platforms and generative AI technologies.
• Practical experience evaluating or deploying leading enterprise AI solutions.
• Familiarity with GxP-adjacent environments and AI compliance considerations in clinical, regulatory, or quality contexts.
• Experience working in or with biotechnology or pharmaceutical organizations.
• Ability to translate AI capabilities into business results and communicate trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects, navigate uncertainty, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
• Formal training, certification, or equivalent professional development in AI/ML is advantageous.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and enterprise AI security/compliance issues, including GDPR and HIPAA, is a plus.
