AI Operations Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the CEO and collaborate with all departments.

• Develop internal automations and AI agents to eliminate repetitive manual tasks across Sales, Customer Success, Implementation, Support, and Operations.

• Integrate AI with existing systems via APIs and MCP servers.

• Expand Karbon’s MCP server into a routing proxy linking Claude and internal data sources.

• Implement Okta authentication, department-based RBAC, request logging, spend attribution, and audit functionalities.

• Create connectors through configuration entries following Security approval.

• Prototype, refine, and hand over tools to the teams utilizing them.

• Oversee Claude access management, provisioning, seat requests, model and tool access, connector approvals, and Slack workflows.

• Execute the connector security review pipeline in collaboration with Security.

• Manage the AI-tool expenditure dashboard, which includes Claude, Cursor, Codex, and Linear AI.

• Develop a framework for ROI that encompasses adoption, hours saved, cost per seat, and project impact.

• Lead the AI champions program while maintaining champion cadences and hub pages.

• Manage offboarding workflows to capture and reassign projects and skills effectively.

• Create and maintain the AI wiki and departmental documentation.

• Set AI usage standards in conjunction with department heads.

• Provide practical, repeatable training for teams.

• Maintain a shared repository of prompts, skills, and patterns.

• Define metrics for AI costs, adoption, delivery, and quality.

• Construct data pipelines for metrics and produce regular executive reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in production software development within the past two years.

• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript, SQL, and REST APIs.

• Background in building a tangible product utilizing a large language model, including user management, error handling, and cost control.

• Experience working directly with non-technical teams as the designated technical expert.

• Ability to comprehend CS renewal processes and implementation scoping, or develop tools that those teams will actively use.

• Competence in deriving meaningful insights from unstructured data and justifying them to a CFO.

• Experience managing a cross-functional program involving participants who do not report directly to you.

• Capability to establish accountability without formal authority.

• Strong writing skills with the ability to decline work that will not yield positive outcomes.

• Bonus: Experience in accounting, professional services, or the B2B software market.

• Bonus: Familiarity with MCP server development, Claude API, or agent frameworks.
