AI Frontend Engineer – Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Lead the frontend architecture, technology stack, and development roadmap for the Voice Agent platform.

• Mentor and support frontend developers, conduct code reviews, and set best practices and coding standards for frontend development.

• Work closely with UI/UX designers to convert mockups into responsive, accessible, and pixel-perfect user interfaces.

• Create and maintain a library of reusable components.

• Develop real-time voice streaming interfaces utilizing WebSocket and WebRTC technologies.

• Design frontend components for audio capture, playback, and visualization.

• Enhance frontend performance to ensure smooth, low-latency real-time voice interactions.

• Integrate backend AI services for Speech-to-Text (STT), Natural Language Understanding (NLU), and Text-to-Speech (TTS) via RESTful APIs and WebSocket connections.

• Manage state for complex voice agent workflows and session handling.

• Create administrative dashboards for monitoring agent performance, analytics, and system health.

• Develop interactive prototypes and demonstrations for internal tests and client presentations.

• Build frontend proofs of concept for innovative AI features and functionalities.

• Implement strategies for unit, integration, and end-to-end frontend testing.

• Ensure quick load times, smooth animations, responsive interactions, and compliance with WCAG accessibility standards.

• Collaborate with AI engineers, backend teams, product stakeholders, and frontend developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience is specified in the job header.

• 7–9 years of frontend development experience, including a minimum of 3+ years in a lead or senior position.

• Extensive expertise in React (preferred), Vue.js, or Angular frameworks.

• Strong experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, Context API, or their equivalents.

• Practical experience with WebSocket and WebRTC for real-time communication.

• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).

• Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and the ability to work collaboratively with designers.

• Experience in consuming RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend teams to establish API contracts.

• Familiarity with build tools like Webpack, Vite, or similar.

• Knowledge of Git and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.

• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes for frontend deployment.

• Basic knowledge of AI concepts, including STT, NLU, and TTS.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for frontend hosting and deployment.

• Knowledge of audio visualization, recording, or playback libraries.

• Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

• Experience with responsive design principles and mobile-first development.

• Familiarity with SIP, WebRTC, or PSTN integration is a plus.

• Contributions to open-source frontend projects are preferred.
