This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Take ownership of the AI Hub Center of Excellence charter, connecting Enterprise AI with Patient Services engineering.
• Integrate and operationalize GCP, Vertex AI, Claude, and Gemini Enterprise tools into the software development lifecycle.
• Transform engineering practices into an AI-augmented model across development, QA, and business analysis.
• Define and lead change management initiatives for AI-first workflows.
• Design the agent deployment and lifecycle framework utilizing Vertex AI.
• Create reusable RAG, tool/function-calling, MCP, and multi-step orchestration patterns.
• Establish standards for the creation, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and retirement of production agents.
• Oversee AI governance, model selection, PHI/HIPAA compliance, evaluation frameworks, and approved tools.
• Coordinate the approval of data flows and BAA verification with InfoSec.
• Maintain the AI risk register and governance of the prompt/pattern library.
• Lead a hybrid team operating onshore/offshore in a follow-the-sun model.
• Plan the parallel-track delivery of AI MVPs and technology workstreams.
• Define AI velocity KPIs and report on progress and ROI quarterly to the CTO and CFO.
• Act as the senior technical representative for AI when engaging with executive leaders and vendor partners.
• Collaborate with ACTICS, NiCE, MuleSoft integration, and product teams.
• Minimum of 8 years in software engineering.
• At least 3 years in a technical lead or architect role.
• Proven experience in architecting and deploying LLM-based systems or AI agents in a production environment.
• Proficiency with a major cloud AI platform; preference for Vertex AI, with AWS Bedrock or Azure OpenAI as acceptable alternatives.
• Familiarity with leading LLMs such as Claude or Gemini.
• Working knowledge of RAG, tool use/function calling, orchestration frameworks, and MCP.
• Experience in introducing AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor and promoting their adoption.
• Understanding of Salesforce and enterprise integration tools such as MuleSoft.
• Knowledge of HIPAA/PHI compliance, model risk, and data security protocols.
• Exceptional executive-level communication skills.
• Experience managing distributed onshore/offshore teams.
• Minimal travel required.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
