AI Engineer, Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the AWS enterprise architecture from start to finish, encompassing multi-account governance and guardrails, Transit Gateway topology, hybrid connectivity to on-premises data centers, centralized traffic inspection, hybrid DNS, and security posture.

• Draft, defend, and periodically review architecture decision records.

• Guide the operational team daily through technical direction, design reviews, code reviews, and architectural choices.

• Develop CDK stacks, Lambda functions, and agent tooling.

• Design and enhance delivery agents for intent decomposition, design artifact creation, implementation scaffolding, validation, and gate reporting.

• Write capability instructions to ensure agents generate architecture-compliant outputs.

• Operate within the Intent-Driven Framework utilizing feature flags and fixed-scope delivery cycles.

• Modernize an existing VB6 desktop application by transitioning functionality into cloud services while preserving legacy operations.

• Implement coexistence design through read-only replication, parity proof, and staged cutover.

• Lead platform assessments for the external digital front and provide actionable recommendations.

• Create reusable external identity, tenancy, and API contracts.

• Communicate architecture details to client IT and security leadership and translate client constraints into design modifications.

• Establish technical direction, resolve obstacles for engineers, and engage hands-on in code delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in software engineering with a focus on architecture for production systems for which you were responsible.

• Proficiency in serverless application architecture: API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFront, Cognito with SAML federation, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, and X-Ray.

• Experience with AWS CDK in TypeScript; understanding of stack boundaries and construct design.

• Strong skills in Java and TypeScript.

• Experience with Java 25 and Spring Cloud Function on Lambda.

• Familiarity with React 19 and TypeScript.

• Knowledge of REST contract design, versioning, and backward compatibility.

• Experience with GitHub Actions utilizing OIDC-based cloud authentication.

• Practical experience in Prompt Engineering, RAG, and Agentic Frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK, Strands, LangChain, or CrewAI.

• Tool and MCP integration experience.

• Background in context engineering.

• Proven experience in verifying agent outputs at scale.

• Experience delivering systems that had to coexist with unmodifiable legacy systems.

• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.

• Understanding of the Agentic SDLC.

• Capability to build systems that minimize human intervention over time.

• Familiarity with AWS Bedrock and AgentCore is a plus.
